3M to Demonstrate Power on Ethernet at China FPD Conference

The 2010 DisplaySearch China FPD Conference will be held September 9-10 at the Rainbow Hotel in Shanghai. 3M is a platinum sponsor for the conference and Brian Huang, marketing manager, 3M Optical Systems Division, will give a presentation on Power on Ethernet (POE), on Thursday, September 9, from 3:50 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.

POE is a cloud computing concept where both power and data are transferred from the server to the LCD monitor through one LAN cable. 3M optical films can support lower power consumption by the LCD monitor to enable POE. Be sure to visit the 3M booth during the conference to see POE demonstrated.
