[2014/03/11]3M volunteers joined the Chinese New Year Caring Visit

On the 25th of January, accompanied by the staffs and social workers from ALOHA of Richmond Fellowship, 3M volunteers visited over 30 families in need – including those with single parents or disabled, and seniors who live alone – in the Wong Tai Sin district to help promote a caring and inclusive community.

Before 10 AM, 3M volunteers gathered at ALOHA in Wong Tai Sin. After the briefing session, together with the staffs and social workers from ALOHA, they divided into groups of 4 to 6 persons.

The groups set off at around 10:30 AM, bringing the gift packs with them. To show its full support, 3M Hong Kong donated various Scotch-Brite products, such as the heavy duty scrub sponges, clip mop sets, high performance wipes and kitchen wipes, as well as Nexcare waterproof bandages and some healthy food to be included in the gift packs.

Led by the staffs and social workers of ALOHA, 3M volunteers visited 3 or 4 families in 2 hours. Through casual conversations, they showed their care and concern. And the families being visited were happy, especially the elderly who live alone, because their homes were filled with laughter and chatter. The sincere greetings and the gift packs also brought big smile to their faces!
