Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive

Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive

Introducing the first one-bottle, one-coat self-etch adhesive from 3M ESPE designed for strength, simplicity and convenience.

Overview Features &
Indications Science Technique

The world's strongest name in adhesives + 25 years of dental science.
Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive builds on much of the same chemistry as Adper™ Scotchbond™ Multi-Purpose Adhesive and Adper™ Single Bond Plus Adhesive. So while you may choose this one-coat self-etch for convenience, you can use it with confidence knowing it's built upon a strong tradition of bonding technology and performance that spans 25 years.

Shear bond strength.
Studies prove the shear bond strength of Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive is equal to that of one bottle self-etch adhesives.

Use it because it's easy. Use it because it's strong.
Unlike total-etch adhesive systems, Adper™ Easy Bond adhesive simultaneously etches and bonds to dentin and enamel in one step. This means:

  • You only need one bottle, one coat and one step to achieve a strong, reliable bond.
  • Fast, easy application with no mixing required.

Adper™ Easy Bond adhesive utilizes a filler technology for optimized bond performance. Independent studies prove its bond strength is equal to or greater than that of one-bottle, and compares favorably to two-bottle self-etch adhesives. It also works on wet or dry enamel and dentin, so getting a strong bond is less sensitive to variations in technique.

Summary of Advantages

  • One-bottle, one-coat convenience
  • Bond performance equal to or greater than other one-bottle self-etch adhesives
  • Reduced risk of post-operative sensitivity
  • Faster procedure for less risk of contamination
  • Moisture tolerant - works on wet or dry enamel and dentin
  • Low microleakage
  • Available in unit-dose delivery

Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive

Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive is simply ideal for a wide range of procedures.

Light-curing Adper™ Easy Bond adhesive is for these indications:

  • All classes of fillings light-curing composite or compomer
  • Core build-ups made of light-curing composite
  • Repair of composite or compomer fillings
  • Root surface desensitisation
  • Intraoral repair of existing composite, porcelain to metal, and all ceramic restorations
  • Cementation of indirect restorations made of composite or compomer, ceramic and metal (after light curing and when combined with RelyX™ ARC Adhesive Resin Cement)

The easy solution for high marginal integrity and low nanoleakage.

Studies from two universities are shown to demonstrate the high marginal integrity and low nanoleakage of Adper™ Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive.

Pictured first is a study performed on Class V restorations by Professor Dr. B. Haller, University of Ulm, measuring marginal integrity. The two charts on the right compare the percentage of continuous margins - before and after thermocycling - for Adper Easy Bond adhesive and other adhesive systems. The percentage after thermocycling is very high for Adper Easy Bond adhesive - 99.9% on enamel and 97.7% on dentin - indicating good marginal integrity.

Next, is a study by Professor Dr. Jorge Perdigao, University of Minnesota, comparing the human teeth nanoleakage of other self-etch adhesives. When bonding to dentin with Adper™ Easy Bond adhesive, the etch and adhesive penetration occur simultaneously, and at the same depth, forming a hybrid layer. Nanoleakage, resulting from an insufficient penetration depth of the adhesive, is significantly impacted by this mechanism.

One coat means a faster application procedure.

Step 1 Apply adhesive Step 2 Dry adhesive Step 3 Light Cure
Step 1. Apply adhesive to tooth surface for a total of 20 seconds Step 2. Dry the adhesive for 5 seconds. Step 3. Light cure for 10 seconds
